The special bowls (the balls) used to play the game may be borrowed from the club, and new members normally use the club's bowls for some time after which they are expected to purchase a set of their own.

 

Attire: Come along in casual, comfortable clothing and, in order to protect our greens, we ask that you wear smooth-soled shoes. The wearing of "whites" is optional during social bowling, but is encouraged during club events and tournaments.

 

Coaching: For those young and old who are new to bowls as a sport we actively encourage you to undertake formal coaching sessions prior to joining.

 

At Colbyn-Oostelikes we have approved coaches who will be more than happy to spend time with you whether you be a beginner or perhaps an experienced player wishing to improve your technique.
